                    The History of Bodh Gaya

Today I am going to tell you about the history of Bodhgaya City. The history of Bodh Gaya is very old. This city is situated at a distance of about 100 kilometres. Patna is the capital of Bihar. Which is a small town near Bodhgaya district. It is situated in the western direction. On the banks of the river Falgu. A tributary of the Ganges. It is said that Bodhgaya is counted among all the holy cities by the Buddhist monks and yes. Lord Buddha attained enlightenment at this place around 500 BC. Formerly here Mahatma Gautam Buddha used to do his penance sitting under the Maha-Bodhi tree on the banks of the Falgu river. Only after that, he attained enlightenment. Then later a large number of followers of Buddhism started coming to this place and this place started worshipping.

This place came to be known as the Great Buddha and that day on. Lord Buddha attained enlightenment. We know that day as Purnima. And I told you one thing is also that the Maha Bodhi Temple was dedicated to Lord Buddha. Was made in the name of Lord Buddha and came to be known by the name of Maha Bodhi Temple. The Statue of Buddha was established in the same way as he was gaining Knowledge by sitting under the Bodhi Tree. Due to this place was established. It is considered to be a holy place and this temple was built by the great emperor Ashoka of ancient times. People of Buddhism come in large numbers. But apart from this people of many other religions also come here and worship and roam around well. In the beginning, only people from nearby used to come here. And then later. When there was communication and the system. Many more facilities were made available then everyone came to know about this place and everyone came to know. About this place and everyone came to know it very well. Then a large number of people and devotees from different places and countries visited. This place comes from abroad and millions of tourists come here every year. And you are going to all the people who visited these places so this is great with attractive and beautiful places. That's why I love this place.
